Shopify Plus Only — Checkout customization requires a Shopify Plus store and the Gift-On Pro plan.

Gift-On uses a Shopify checkout extension to add gift wrapping directly into the checkout flow. This guide walks you through enabling and configuring it.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure:

  1. Your store is on Shopify Plus.
  2. You have Product Gifting or Order Gifting enabled with the Checkout surface toggled on.

Step 1 — Enable the Checkout Surface in Gift-On

  1. Open Gift-On and go to the Product Gifting or Order Gifting tab.
  2. In the Storefront Settings section on the right, toggle on Checkout page.
  3. Click Save.

This tells Gift-On to make the gift wrap option available at checkout. The checkout extension won't appear until it's also enabled in your Shopify checkout editor.

Step 2 — Open the Shopify Checkout Editor

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Checkout.
